This is a really well written page. Demonstrats that an encyclopedia doesn't need to be boring to be factual. I've dived with brittle stars... must confess that I wasn't entirely nice to them though. Up and down the east coast of Australia (my diving has been from Sydney to the Gold Coast, and Coffs Harbour in between), it is very common in my experience to be met upon arriving at the bottom by a parrot fish. "Hi, my name is Parrot Fish, and I'll be your escort for this dive" is how they work. They follow you around everywhere for the duration of the dive. The parrot fish *particularly* like it when you lift up rocks for them and allow them access to the soft mushy goddies underneath. The parrot fish go *crazy* when you pick upa rock for them and there's a brittle star underneath. Brittle stars must be pretty tasty, 'cos when a rock is lifted and the star is visible, all hell breaks loose! The star makes a runner, and the parrot fish dives and consumes! Why is "legs" in quotation marks? whether you say legs or arms is arbitrary surely?

Name
