Copylock

edit

Can someone enable the copyloxk protection as it keeps getting vandalised by people from this scr group Metalhead11000 (talk) 01:08, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

SCR is a roblox train game that has a 707 in it, thats why Don't be afraid to be creative (talk) 02:42, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Adding references to a roblox game counts as vandalism — Preceding unsigned comment added by Metalhead11000 (talkcontribs) 09:49, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

SCR can be referenced in a section called "Popular Culture" but make sure to link the fandom wiki here. -arsenal_pro1975 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arsenal Pro 1975 (talkcontribs) 06:42, 18 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Linking to a fan wiki is never going to happen, even if the game itself gets properly referenced and added to the article. See Wikipedia:"In popular culture" content 10mmsocket (talk) 07:03, 18 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Class 707 Southeastern livery

edit

Recently, Southeastern repainted 707009 and 707010 into thier livery. Can somebody add this with a source because I did without a source and it got removed Lordeverything (talk) 08:40, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Lordeverything Google is your friend! This Introduction to referencing help page might be useful - with tips on reliable sources, how to reference etc :)
It might be worth waiting until there's a reliable source that shows the train in real life (rather than this CG visual) - self published works like twitter or forums posts aren't acceptable. (WP:V) Turini2 (talk) 10:44, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Units refurbished

edit

Units 1,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,22,23,25,26,27,28 and 29 have been refurbished in 2021 with the rest of the fleet entering service with southeastern in spring 2022 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C5:7A03:7100:4C06:6F23:E1C2:B01B (talk) 18:49, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

What is your source for that? Personal knowledge isn't a valid reference. 10mmsocket (talk) 18:54, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Class 707 interior image

edit

How comes the SE one gets reverted even though the SWT ones are going? If the main image currently as of writing this is a SE 707 why not have an SE interior? Metalhead11000 (talk) 12:04, 23 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

While the 707 is being used by South Western, it is reasonable to retain an image of their interior in the infobox. I agree with @Maurice Oly on this. You could always put the newer image elsewhere in the article, but for now if we're having two images they should represent both companies that currently operate the class. Please don't start an edit war in the article by repeatedly inserting it, until consensus is reached. 10mmsocket (talk) 12:53, 23 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Allow me to jump in and say there is prescient for having different exterior and interior images when two different TOCs operate the same train. British Rail Class 323 is a perfect example of this, on that page we have an exterior image of a West Midlands Railway Class 323 and a Northern Trains interior, this is due to there being 2 different TOCs operating the Class 323. We should follow the same logic and reasoning on this page due to their being two separate TOCs which operate the Class 707. As soon as the last Class 707 has been transferred to Southeastern backed up with a reliable source then and only then should the exterior and interior images be of a SouthEastern Class 707. I agree with @10mmsocket the southeastern interior image could be put elsewhere on the page. Maurice Oly (talk) 13:37, 23 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Routes served

edit

Class 707s on SWR now only ever serve the London Waterloo to Shepperton (via Kingston and occasionally via Richmond), with some occasional trains serving Windsor and Weybridge.

Hope this helps! Prvdta (talk) 18:03, 22 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Revert

edit

My apologies everyone, I should not have made the latest revert and edits. In a rush I stupidly reverted to a version by a user using Flickr as a source. Maurice Oly (talk) 01:20, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
