Term doesn't make sense
It says in the article that this refers to Northen Ireland,which isn't an island. Dermo69 18:56, 6 Febuary 2007 (UTC)
- The law, as the quote goes, is an ass - but there you go. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland passed the law, so who are the rest of us to argue? Man vyi 21:03, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
It is part of Ireland, which is partly British in a political context and fully British in a geographical one. So it does make sense. YourPTR! 19:56, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Dermo was making the point that NI is not an island (British Islands). He was not saying that it is not British (British Islands). In any case, it a term of convienceience that just peels back British Isles (origianlly Islands, also), whether it is linguistically accurate is irrevelent under law. --sony-youthpléigh 08:55, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
