Propaganda in the 2016 Presidential Election edit

Budowsky was heavily criticized for unethical journalism when his private emails to John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign chief, were hacked and subsequently released by Wikileaks. Within these emails, Budowsky offered advice about how to persuade the public to favor of Hillary Clinton by creating a ploy to sucker supporters of Bernie Sanders into supporting his opponent. In one email, Budowsky stated, "I am . . . repeatedly writing friendly and positive pieces about Bernie [Sanders] as an HRC supporter, and when the time is right I will have money in the bank with him and his people as a liberal to urge them to come out in force to vote for HRC."
