Neutrality edit

I came in to do a Copyedit request dating back to 2007, and I have essentially cleaned up the language (which was generally OK, except for a few odd turns of phrase and errant capitalisations), but the paragraph about the Second Round matches - particularly the one against Argentina) - contains a few unsourced statements should probably be removed if they cannot be backed up by a source. To whit:

  • Argentina had a "clear penalty denied by the referee".
  • Batista kicked a player in the face and was not disciplined by the referee.
  • The Italy-Brazil game is "one of the all-time great games in World Cup history".

A "record" to enter every World Cup Finals? edit

Ignoring grammar, I think that it is not customary to speak of a "record" in sports if your competitors did not get a chance to challenge or equal you. For example, there never was a FIFA World Cup that Germany did not quality for. They got no admission in 1930 and 1950, but that had nothing to do with sports or football. --217.226.76.220 (talk) 14:42, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
