Some proposed changes edit

First box: Products - lingerie, swimwear, nightwear, clothing Website: www.bravissimo.com and www.bravissimo.com/us

Intro: Bravissimo is a lingerie retailer that provides lingerie in D-L cup sizes and swimwear in D-K cup sizes. They currently have 29 stores[1] across the UK and also sell via mail order and online, as well as via a US website.[2] They are based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and currently employ over 850 people.[3] Bravissimo also sell clothing, once known as 'Pepperberry', launched in March 2011. The company has now rebranded this as Bravissimo Clothing to promote continuity between products.[4]

Awards: Bravissimo has been in the Sunday Times "100 Best Companies to work for" list for since 2007 when they came 19th [9] and in 2018 they were awarded 13th place.[10] The list rates a company's performance on 8 key factors which takes into account things such as pay, leadership, social impact and personal growth.[11] They were awarded 99th, 26th,[12] 24th[13] and 8th[14] place respectively between 2008 - 2011. They were also awarded a 3 star status as an ‘Exceptional place to work’.

Sarah Tremellen was awarded an MBE in 2009 in the New Year’s Honours List for services to entrepreneurship. [1]

At the UK Lingerie Awards in 2018, Bravissimo won "Customer Service Provider of the Year"[2], and Sarah Tremellen won the UKLA Lifetime Achievement Award.[3]

References

Amyreds I've added some of the above, could you please format the 2018 refs to be consistent with eg ref 14. If you wish you could see if you can find replacements for the two dead references I've marked as such, up to you Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:53, 29 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to get rid of the dead link 10 content - could you change it to 'in 2018 they were awarded 13th place.' The updated link is <ref> https://www.b.co.uk/company-profile/?bravissimo-ltd-49967 and this also covers the dead link 12 (and also 13 and 14). Could you remove this: "In 2011 Bravissimo was nominated for the Multiple Retailer of the Year award at the UK Lingerie Awards[14] but lost out to Agent Provocateur.[15]" as it's not particularly relevant when we have won more things since. Could you review the other bits I suggested in the previous edit too? I'm not sure what you mean about formatting the 2018 links - please could you explain further? Amyreds (talk) 12:51, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

It is relevant, the article is not a vanity piece only reflecting victories. It can stop at nominated though, no need to mention Agent Provocateur. Don't worry about the reference formatting, I'll sort that - X201 (talk) 13:20, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Also added the UKLA stuff - X201 (talk) 13:29, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! That's brilliant! Would you mind adding before the 2018 things: In 2017, Bravissimo won 'best multi-product E-tailer' at the Underlines Stars Awards https://starsunderlinesbestshopawards.com/2017/11/10/stars-winners-2017/ Amyreds (talk) 13:41, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Amyreds, editors won't necessarily see comments on this page unless you include a link to their user name, eg Jimfbleak or X201, and sign it with four tildes ~~~~ in the same edit. That will send an alert. I'll pick up that last point in the morning, a bit rushed now Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:49, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for this! If someone could have a look at the last bits ('exceptional place to work' part) I'd really appreciate it Amyreds (talk) 11:01, 10 September 2018 (UTC) Sorry - I forgot to tag... Jimfbleak I have also just noticed that in the History section it refers to our 21 shops - could this be changed to 29 as well? Amyreds (talk) 10:57, 12 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Amyreds, OK, may be a couple of days though, I'm really busy in RL Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:13, 12 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Amyreds what's the ref for exceptional place to work? Also today's version read Bravissimo is a lingerie retailer that provides lingerie and swimwear in D-L cup sizes and swimwear in D-K cup sizes. which has two different size ranges for swimwear. I've removed the the second swimwear bit for now pending clarification Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:29, 13 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for flagging - it should read lingerie in a D-L cup and swimwear in a D-K cup. The ref is here: https://www.b.co.uk/company-profile/?bravissimo-ltd-49967 Jimfbleak Amyreds (talk) 15:25, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, tagging you here in case you can help X201 Amyreds (talk) 11:03, 26 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
I've added the reference. Was that all that needed doing? - X201 (talk) 13:10, 26 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Could we add a new section: Products Bravissimo's own range of lingerie began with their Alana bra in, which was launched in 2007. At present, there are over 70 different Bravissimo bras on sale, encompassing a size range of D-L cup sizes and 28-40 back sizes, including underwired and non-wired options and bras with or without padding. Bravissimo also stocks many brands such as Bluebella, Freya and Fantasie (both owned by Wacoal), Wonderbra, SPANX, Gossard, Curvy Kate, Panache, Cleo, Lepel, Maidenform, Mimi Holliday and previously Ultimo_brand. Bravissimo also stocks bra-sized swimwear, encompassing a size range of D-K cup sizes - these also include various brands as well as their own range. Bravissimo's own range of clothing is designed for women with bigger busts. Their size range is UK 8-18, then each size has 3 'Curvy' sizes: Curvy, Really Curvy and Super Curvy, depending on how much extra room in the chest is needed. Bravissimo also stock their own range of nightwear tops with in-built non-wired bras. Amyreds (talk) 14:54, 26 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Amyreds, what the article actually needs is more on the company itself, to reinforce notability, such as turnover or profitability. However, you don't have a product section, so it's not unreasonable to have something. You currently have no references for the above, and it may need trimming anyway. If it's too much "this is what we sell" it may run into trouble Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:15, 26 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the guidance, Jimfbleak - will you be cutting it down or would you like me to do it? As for turnover, could this go at the end of the history section?: In 2017, Bravissimo launched its US website and began looking for its first US shop site. In the same year their sales grew by 2% to £50.2 million, but pre-tax profit decreased to £2.2 million from £3.3 million a year earlier, partly owing to spending on new shops. Ref: https://www.standard.co.uk/business/lingerie-firm-bravissimo-is-ready-to-make-it-big-stateside-after-sales-growth-a3593186.html and a product section reference https://www.independent.co.uk/extras/indybest/fashion-beauty/lingerie/best-lingerie-websites-valentines-underwear-ann-summers-boux-avenue-vintage-bra-9251108.html Amyreds (talk) 11:36, 27 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Amyreds, I've added the financial stuff. Your reference for the products doesn't actually support what your text claims, it's just a potted history. I wouldn't get too hung up on the exact bra-size range for each product, and I'd trim the list of other brands you stock. I certainly wouldn't bother with brands that don't have their own article.
