Endless pronunciation loop

When the article states that "Braun" is pronounced like "braun", does that mean it's pronounced "brawn"? And wouldn't that then be more clear than stating the obvious but utterly unhelpful fact that braun is pronounced braun? --Mudd1 (talk) 22:18, 15 March 2013 (UTC)

Thinking the same thing. It is true that even official ads pronounce it something like brɒn, but we need a source, and something better than "braun", which as you've said is no help whatsoever. - Estoy Aquí (talk) 15:33, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Like 'Brown' in Germanic markets. Like 'Brawn' in most others. In German 'au' is pronounced like 'ow' not 'or', as it is in English. Braun is just the German version of the color/surname Brown - an pronounced almost identically. 80.169.41.20 (talk) 10:24, 19 August 2015 (UTC)
