Paradox

edit

How can Brad be a Jewish musician and a buddist? This does not make sense! (chewbacca defense, JackpotDen)

a) Judaism is an ethnicity as well as a religion. b) Buddhism does not disallow other religious beliefs/practices. c)Being Buddhist doesn't automatically make a Jew stop being Jewish.--Anchoress 04:52, 24 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Anyways, that whole comment on him reciting a Jewish prayer had no source.--Mynabull 16:01, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

On his own MySpace page, he claims his religion as Buddist and his ethnicity as Native American - Perhaps that should be added to the main article. In regard to the "Jewish" bit, a webpage of "Intact U.S. Musicians" lists him as uncircumsized, although doesn't cite a source (I think RATM may have appeared naked on stage). Contradiction

edit

In the opening paragraph it states that Brad joined RATM by placing a newspaper ad. However, in the Rage Against The Machine section, it points out that he auditioned for Tom Morello's former band, who then, after meeting Zack de la Rocha, contacted Brad and asked him to be in the band. I'm pretty sure the latter is right, though if somebody could confirm this it'd be better. --Zapatista comeau 06:32, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Audioslave - Out of Exile.jpg

edit

Image:Audioslave - Out of Exile.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Can someone knowledgeable add the proper pronunciation characters for "Wilk"?

edit

I just stumbled upon this article yesterday, and attempted a little cleanup and some timeline- tried to clean up the intro based on what was here already. Would someone please put the correct characters next to Brad's last name for pronunciation? It would appear more professional than what is there now. --leahtwosaints (talk) 17:06, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'd say [ˈvilk]. M3n747 (talk) 10:01, 28 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Personal life

edit

Why mentions of his family (wife and kids) are being constantly removed of the page? We all know it's true, there are pictures, mentions, all over the Internet. Did he express the desire to keep it quiet in order to avoid being harassed or something? I'm confused about that.--Darkcook (talk) 15:38, 9 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Removing lead section notice

edit

There's currently the "This article's lead section may be too short to adequately summarize its key points" notice from 2013 at the top of the article. As it currently stands, the lead seems to be an adequate summary. Would anyone be opposed to it being removed? -- Primium (talk) 19:54, 22 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
