Horrible condition of this article and related pages

This article and related articles need cleaning and updating. Due to lack of time I have just accumulated some resource that the editor might find useful. If no one comes up to edit the pages, I'll do them myself, but help is appreciated.

Sales of Boyzone

These figures are there because it was an estimation that i done guessing by previous sales of boyzone albums, the certification of the album Brother should be done just like the rest of the albums are done, Boyzone have released less then 20 million of around 15 million but if you don't want it to be accuarate then leave it how it is. Please put this into the Future section

Ronan Keating has told Undercover that the next Boyzone tour may very well be the last thing the Irish act ever does together.

“We will be touring in February and March. With Stephen passing away last year I don’t know if it can ever be the same again,” he tells undercover.fm. “I don’t know if there will be a life for Boyzone. The tour will tell us a lot, if the void is too big or if we can move along as a four piece. We haven’t done a whole lot of work together this year because it hasn’t felt right. The tour will show us everything and it could be the last thing we ever do together as a band”.

This year Ronan has been living in Australia and working as a judge in X Factor. Before that, the four surviving members of Boyzone recorded a released a new album featuring vocals from Stephen. “Stephen passed away in October and we recorded the album in December and January. We were still very numb,” he says. “We were around each other constantly, we kind of rallied around each other. The energy in the studio, it felt like Stephen was with us all the time. We were on this buzz. It was a strange buzz but it kept us going. We knew we had to make this album. We had recorded some of Stephen’s vocals earlier in the year so we used those as well. We very much felt like he was part of the album. Then as the year has gone on it has just been different. We have done the odd little performance but it hasn’t felt right. "Boy" band?

Boyzone were obviously a boy band when they formed in the early 1990s.

Semi-protected edit request on 1 July 2018

There are several issues with this page, but I will only list a few, as time does not permit more.

One sentence reads, "The surviving members of Boyzone, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch, issued a joint statement:" It ends with a colon, and no statement is quoted. Another sentence: "Fans responded with messages of sympathy on the social media." There should be no definite article preceding "social media" in this context.

Sentence 3 reads, "One song was written by singer-songwriter Mika,[31][32] who has also claimed that the new song he wrote for Boyzone is the last one which will feature Gately's vocals in which he and Keating shared the vocals and originally the song would have led to Ronan singing first then Stephen would sing the second part prior to that, the song was released as their fourth studio album on 8 March 2010." This one seems to never want to stop. It should obviously read, "One song was written by singer-songwriter Mika,[31][32] who has also claimed that the new song he wrote for Boyzone is the last one which will feature Gately's vocals, in which he and Keating shared the vocals. Originally, the song would have had Ronan singing first then Stephen would sing the second part. Prior to that, the song was released on their fourth studio album on 8 March 2010." A song is obviously not an album. In addition, the sentence states that "Originally the song..." which implies that something else occurred other than what was "originally" planned, but gives no alternate version.

The sentence following the one above reads, "The track written by Mika became the lead single from the new album, titled "Gave It All Away"." However, the heading of this section and the text (other than this sentence) imply that the album is entitled "Brother", not "Gave It All Away", as the existing sentence states.

Last example: "A Huge contribution to the background and lead vocals in their tours since 2011 has come from backing vocalist Jo Garland who has sung with Ronan Keating in his solo ventures since 2001 and with Boyzone since 2008, her vocals have been more prominent often covering for vocals that Stephen Gately sung." The obvious correction is: "A Huge contribution to the background and lead vocals in their tours since 2011 has come from backing vocalist Jo Garland, who has sung with Ronan Keating in his solo ventures since 2001 and with Boyzone since 2008. Her vocals have become more prominent, often covering for vocals that Stephen Gately had sung (or sang)."

It might be useful for someone that is knowledgeable about the English language to read this article. I only read parts of it because I was trying to get some context and background for another article I was reading. However, parts of this article are very confusing. I hope this is helpful.

Band Members ?!?

Where they a band?

Technicially not one member could play a musical instrument therefore they were not a band! They claim having No.1 hits yet they release songs that had already been No.1 hit by the original artists. They were a manufactured group of dancers that sung karakoe but claimed to be bigger than the Beatles. They were commerical trash generted to sell music to teenagers.
