Boundaries of a bow wave edit

It is not clear from the current text what the boundaries of a bow wave are. For example, does the bow wave extend indefinitely aft, or is there a boundary on the backward side? Mark.camp (talk) 00:33, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
