Notation

What does $\langle \;\rangle$ mean in this context? And is ${\mathcal {P}}$ the power set? What is $\nu$? Crasshopper (talk) 17:21, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

I have modified the notation slightly, please let me know if this still does not help. The answers in brief: $\langle \;\rangle$ here indicates merely a pair/couple. I would normally use plain parentheses, but the present formulation is not confusing. ${\mathcal {P}}$ is indeed the power set, I have made this explicit with the new notation. Finally $\nu$ should simply be $v$, the value function.Koczy (talk) 13:00, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Side Payments
