Highly camouflaged? edit
The Orb-weaver spider mentioned Bolas spiders are "highly camouflaged", so maybe there is a picture here already and I just can't see it, but I'm adding a picreq template anyway
Prey animals edit
On the "Hunting" section, it seems like the bolas spiders only attract moths; however I recall that many species in fact are specialized predators of moth flies - Psychodidae (see Yeatson & Quate 1996, 1997). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.0.250.109 (talk) 16:43, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Classification edit
As of January 2021, it seems clear from sources that bolas-using spiders belong to a clade which includes at least one genus that does not use a bolas. This clade has been called by various formal and informal names. A Field Guide to Spiders of Australia (Robert Whyte & Greg Anderson, 2017) calls the subfamily Mastophorinae "bolas spiders and allies"; other recent sources use the informal "mastophorines" for the same taxon. It's clear that bolas-using spiders, which I take to be the topic of this article, are a group within the mastophorines, which in turn can be placed within a broadly defined subfamily Cyrtarachninae s.l.
As sources vary so much at present, in the taxobox I've used Cyrtarachninae s.l., treating bolas spiders as an informal group within this taxon. The alternative would be place them within Mastophorinae in the sense of Whyte & Anderson (2017). Peter coxhead (talk) 11:35, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
