1930 "coach" edit
It is extraordinary that Rush is no longer credited by the AFL with being match day coach for Collingwood at a match in 1930. There are more than 80 other occasions where a VFL/AFL match day coach is credited by the AFL with performing such duties because the normal coach was unable to do so.
The removal of Rush from the list is inconsistent with decisions about the other instances. Crediting McHale with being coach appears simply to have been done to allow a "boutique" event atmosphere to apply to the 2015 match where Mick Malthouse coached Carlton vs Collingwood to allegedly beat McHale's game tally record.
