I quite agree. I made some small edits. Someone with some time should work on this further. Some obvious issues:
  • "4th generation Washingtonian" does not belong in lede
  • "Washington native" section could be condensed into a less hype-y more normal section on family background & youth.
  • "He anxiously awaits the return of a competitive Seattle Mariners baseball team": not exactly encyclopedic tone. To put it mildly.
  • "Ferguson worked with the legal team that successfully defended taxpayers from paying for cost overruns associated with Safeco Field construction." That looks like something from a resume (especially the part about "successfully defended taxpayers").

Quotes from papers edit

I had removed the quotes from the seven different newspapers and just kept the references to support the sentence "Numerous daily newspaper in Washington state editorialized against Stutzman’s refusal to sell flowers for the same sex wedding and supported of the Attorney General’s efforts to enforce the law." However they have since been added back in. I don't think they are necessary especially considering that they are not about Ferguson. If there is support here to do so, they should be removed again. Semi-protected edit request on 10 February 2017 edit

In the Comcast lawsuit section, there is a line "...filed over 1.8 individual violations..." that should be "...filed over 1.8 million individual violations...", as per the cited article. The word "millions" should be added to amend the statement.
