Behavioral Ecology 2022 Edits - Reni A edit

Overall, the article was very well written! I did not make a large amount of changes to it. The changes I did make included a couple grammatical and spelling errors that I found, and I divided up some of the sections to include some more specific headings that related to the information that was being presented in “Mating” and “Habitat and Distribution.” I also added a hyperlink to the word “Pseudomonas” due to it already having a Wikipedia page. I made a few grammatical corrections and changed the wording of some sentences in each of the sections. I also added a citation and corrected some incorrect (or worded incorrectly) information from one of the sources. I think that this article is very good and has the potential to reach good article status with more information and more citation! Great work ShawnMohammed (talk) 07:38, 16 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Reworded the beginning of the Lead. Make sure to cite information you put in the Lead. I think the sentence about Hypsiboas prasinus should be moved to the top of the Lead where you talk about common names; it doesn’t really make sense at the bottom of the Lead.

If “the rattle-voiced tree frog” is another common name for the species, why mention it in the Description and not the Lead? Some of the information in the Description is a bit confusing. Also, needs citations! There should pretty much be at least one citation at the end of each section in your article.

Reworded Habitat a bit.

I would move the Conservation section to the very bottom of the article since most articles seem to follow that format. For the municipalities you have listed in the Conservation section, I honestly feel like they might fight better in a new “Range” section. Where does the species occur? Use examples from your cited articles to find municipalities, regions, etc., that have evidence of the existence of B. prasina in them.

Under Diet I’m a bit confused by the wording of the second sentence. Are they eating the algae, or are they feeding on things that live within the algae? I would specify instead of wording it so that the algae seems like the surface itself.

Reworded a bit of the Mate Searching Behavior section. Having “variety” and “varying” in the same sentence sounds a bit repetitive. I would reword this sentence. Added a bunch of hyperlinks!

The Mutualisms section is really interesting and super well written!

I’m a bit confused by the Protective coloration and behavior section, why do you mention the calling behavior for only one sentence? I would move this up into the section on calling.

Overall, this is a pretty well written article and you did an amazing job of summarizing all the important information on this frog. I think a bit of re-wording and buffing the citations would really elevate this article. Lvanzen3 (talk) 20:45, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
