Missing references et cetera edit

Is there any source for the date the company was founded?

Narwaro (talk) 06:58, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

I remade the draft from info available on the corporate website, I'm not sure if there is any reliable source on the topic, however. Lordtobi () 07:23, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
The main problem here seems that there are not many published, reliable, secondary sources available at all, which is a bit odd considering the size and revenue of the company. Narwaro (talk) 07:49, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Reference for "known as Bluehole Studio, Inc.[b] until 22 April 2015" would be very nice. Narwaro (talk) 21:21, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

It's sourced in the history section. Lead does not require any cites as it only retells the body in a shorter way. Lordtobi () 21:26, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
I overlooked that, maybe that is the reason why I normally reference every occurrence. Narwaro (talk) 21:34, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Section "Games developed" edit

This section's name is a bit odd. Looking at other articles, I think "products" or more fitting, just "games" would be more clean. Narwaro (talk) 21:24, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • It is generally unclean, TERA and Devilian are badly worded and PUBG appears to give undue weight as it is much larger. I'd rather turn it into a table which denotes the internal studio that developed the game. E.g.:
Devilian -> Bluehole Ginno Games
TERA -> Bluehole
PUBG -> PUBG Corporation
AIR -> TBA
But then we'd also need to find a way to track their mobile games (which they have a lot of). Lordtobi () 06:42, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Currency used edit

I think to the average reader in the English Wikipedia, Won is not a commonly known currency. Adding a conversion to USD or stating only the USD value at the time of the transaction would be more pleasing to read. What are your thoughts on this @User:Lordtobi? Narwaro (talk) 21:33, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • It is standard procedure to denote the currency used in a transaction, not any conversion. Why? Because not everyone can work with US$ either, e.g. Australians, the majority of Europe and all of Asia. Further problems arise if you are required to denote those values with value loss and inflation in mind, and values become distorted easily. If we were to take these values from sources, we would have _some_ sources that outline a US$ conversion, but not all of them (none of the Korean sources do), which woud lead to inconsistency as well. If we simply used the native currency, people either a) comprehend it or b) literally type "500 million won in euro" into Google and have their answer in in seconds. Otherwise, the currency's article (which we link to) provides links to exchange rates. Lordtobi () 06:55, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Semi-protected edit request on 23 July 2021 edit

The history of the company is incorrect according to official sources and sources provided in other pages of the same Wikipedia and references. Tencent owns 11.6% of Bluehole Studio, not Krafton. In November 2018 Bluehole went from being the main company to a Krafton studio. 201.219.234.75 (talk) 05:18, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Correction of errors, Tencent does not own shares in Krafton, it owns shares in Bluehole, a subsidiary of Krafton. In the part of subsidiaries, PUBG Studios can also be called 'PUBG Corporation' since at no time did it change its name. 201.219.234.14 (talk) 18:00, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I want to make an edit to correct errors such as actions by Tencent and make a table in the Games - Platforms - Developer games part as in the Spanish page. 201.219.234.114 (talk) 21:13, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

KRAFTON TITLES edit

KRAFTON TITLES Hello, in the games part I want to create a table that contains all the games created by Krafton, their publication date, the study, the platforms and the type of game, currently it is a nonsense page with only 4 games. I also want to add information about Thingsflow, the new Krafton subsidiary. I clearly said that I wanted to create a table with all Krafton titles and provide reliable sources, learn to read. Jose Angel del Valle Nazco (talk) 21:57, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Edit requests require you to provide the actual content you want changed, which you did not. It's not for you to request other people to do the work you want. Provide the table, and someone can then edit it in for you. -- ferret (talk) 22:01, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

where can I provide the table? I clearly wanted to create it myself and add the information, so I made this edit request. Jose Angel del Valle Nazco (talk) 22:05, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

I also said that I wanted to add information about Thingsflow (new Krafton subsidiary) and provide a source from the same Krafton website and still was denied the edit request. Jose Angel del Valle Nazco (talk) 22:09, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

You put the table here on the talk page. Same thing about Thingsflow. Tell us exactly what to add and where. -- ferret (talk) 22:27, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thingsflow Inc Thingsflow is a South Korean company specialized in the development of interactive content, it was acquired by Krafton in June 2021 together with the South Korean dating app 'Between'. Thingsflow is known for being the developer of the Hellobot software. Jose Angel del Valle Nazco (talk) 23:10, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Add this on the subsidiaries page. Jose Angel del Valle Nazco (talk) 23:10, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Semi-protected edit request on 13 September 2021 edit

I want to edit the part of subsidiaries, specifically the last text of the subsidiary PUBG Studios where it talks about PUBG: NEW STATE, I want to correct the availability of the game, since it is not in alpha phase as it says there and there is a pre-registration for India, the game will be published in India. 201.219.236.198 (talk) 23:22, 13 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

I want to edit the subsidiary PUBG Studios, in the paragraph that talks about PUBG: NEW STATE, the game if it will be available in the Indian market because a registration has already been launched and it is no longer in an active alpha phase, unlock the editions or correct the mistakes. 201.219.236.198 (talk) 23:55, 13 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

  Not done: this is not the right page to request additional user rights. You may reopen this request with the specific changes to be made and someone will add them for you, or if you have an account, you can wait until you are autoconfirmed and edit the page yourself. Please also provide reliable sourcing to back up these claims. — IVORK Talk 00:25, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Changing the History Section's Contents edit

The part about the Chinese government's views on videogames seems very far off topic, especially in the section for the Korean company's own history. I didn't delete it in case I am mistaken somehow, but it doesn't read very well and the little explanatory bit about why the issue is relevant to game companies in general doesn't do much to make it relevant enough to put on this specific company's page. I figured I would make a post on the talk page and ask someone who has previously edited the article if that blurb should be deleted rather than suddenly do so myself.
