Talk:Blue Nile Road and Railway Bridge

Picture edit

This is not the bascule bridge referred to in the article. It is a swing bridge. If it is at Kosti, then it is the Goz Abu Goma Bridge across the White Nile, contrary to the caption. --AHert (talk) 14:41, 30 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Not done. Before you changed it, the article was about a bridge over the Blue Nile in Khartoum, and the coordinates are correct for that bridge. The bridge that was shown in the picture, and the one you changed the text to be about, is the Goz Abu Goma Bridge at Rabak, which is on the White Nile (see the preceding section on this page). That bridge is railway only, not road and railway, and is a swing bridge, not a bascule bridge. I've removed the incorrect photo and restored the previous text dealing with this bridge.
