Chart position edit

This source gives a peak of only number 9 for three weeks in February 1957. But the article says "peaking at number five" and gives the source as Whitburn (2004). Which is correct? Martinevans123 (talk) 22:14, 6 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Herbert Hardesty solo edit

Herb Hardesty's baritone sax solo has been sourced to this reference: "Davis, Hank (1993). Fats Domino: Out of New Orleans. Bear Family Records. p. 42." But the only source with that title, that I can find online, is here and it's from Record Collector No 172, December 1993. p.122. and it's by Andy Davis not Hank. So I've added a second source (The New York Times) which is available online. Over at the Herbert Hardesty artcile there is a full quote from the same alleged Davies source. Page title edit

@SilkTork: The article states: "Blue Monday" is a song written by Dave Bartholomew, first recorded in 1953 by Smiley Lewis and issued as a single, in January 1954 .... It was later popularized in a recording by Fats Domino in 1956". My emphasis. So, why does the page title say "1955 song"? Ghmyrtle (talk) 16:24, 22 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • I've just come here to ponder the same thing. I was restoring the title to that date. But looking at it today, like you, I'm wondering why that date had been chosen as publication was earlier. I'm away from home now, but I will get at this when I'm home. SilkTorkAway (talk) 12:28, 23 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
