Fair use rationale for Image:BlueHawaiiElvis.jpg edit

Image:BlueHawaiiElvis.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:27, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wiki-Wiki to the beach! edit

Near the beginning of the picture, while driving back from the airport with his girlfriend, Elvis (Chad) says "Wiki-Wiki. To the beach!"

... Trivia, but interesting to wiki-geeks like me. Should I include this?

Appraisal of Music edit

A lot of the discussion of the soundtrack seems very subjective to me, and lacks any basis for its claims. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.242.29.215 (talk) 13:13, 2 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Personal Opinion? edit

"It could be argued that this film set the tone" A lot of things could be argued. Who is making the argument, and why is a Wikipedia article being used to argue? Shouldn't arguments go to the talk section? And once they're decided, be presented in the article with appropriate citation to whoever is making the argument? 173.26.212.73 (talk) 00:46, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

173.26.212.73, I'll remove that paragraph per WP:BURDEN. Thanks for the heads-up. Erik (talk | contribs) 00:49, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Factual errors edit

This article has a possible factual error. The date of Elvis' arrival in Hawaii, said to be March 18, is suspect due to the fact that the soundtrack was recorded in Hollywood between March 21 and 23. Our own article on the soundtrack album - not to mention countless reference works on Presley - can be used to confirm the recording dates. I suppose it's possible - though rather pointless - that Presley travelled to Hawaii, and then took the flight back to LA a few days later for the purposes of recording the soundtrack, and then flew back out again in time for the benefit concert. 70.73.90.119 (talk) 16:10, 10 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
