BlueMaxima's FlashpointFlashpoint Archive – Project has rebranded and changed domain Colin9691 (talk) 05:51, 6 July 2023 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). 82.16.109.11 (talk) 10:44, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

The domain has already been updated in the article and the previous domain now has a permanent redirect here. All branding within the new domain follows Flashpoint Archive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.16.109.11 (talkcontribs) 10:44, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Comment: I've created a redirect from Flashpoint Archive to BlueMaxima's Flashpoint. WPscatter t/c 13:46, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Primary sources for the name change:
  • The project's official FAQ:
Didn't this used to be called BlueMaxima's Flashpoint?
Yes - the project used to operate with BlueMaxima in the name until his retirement from the project in January 2023.
  • BlueMaxima's January 2023 tweet about retiring from the project:
Flashpoint 11.1 is out, and with it, I'm announcing my retirement from the project.
[…] [A]fter this, at least for me, it'll be the end. [This] is the last time I'll be at the head of the Flashpoint project. It's been a ride, but it's time for me to step down and move onto other things. […] Flashpoint as a project is not dead; the rest of the team is making the attempt to take over my role.
Per WP:NAMECHANGE, the article's title shouldn't be changed yet. I'm unsure whether this should be mentioned in the body before that, so for now I'm noting them here. jlwoodwa (talk) 04:48, 12 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
