Pronunciation edit

In the Hebrew Wikipedia wa are wondering how to transcribe this guy's name correctly.

Should we transcribe it from Welsh? Then, i guess, it is supposed to be something like /'blajðid/.

Or should we transcribe it from English? Then it is supposed to be something like /'bladad/.

A clarification would be very welcome.

Thanks in advance. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 23:19, 15 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Two refs added, but my IPA transcriptions could bear an overview.--Old Moonraker (talk) 20:12, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Geoffrey of Monmouth edit

Saying that there is "No historical evidence: is pure POV. Geoffrey may be replete with errors and fanciful embellishments, but he is no worse than AS Chron., which is also not contemporaneous. Characters in ASC including most of the Kings of Wessex would also need to be marked with "No historical evidence" if we go down this road.

I would suggest Bladud is marked as "the only historical evidence for B. is Geoffrey of Monmouth, who is not contemporaneous and may not have access to original sources." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.115.252.130 (talk) 10:29, 5 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
