Contradiction?

From the History section: " 'Black Worcester' was recorded as being grown by monks at the Abbey as early as 1388. "

From the Heraldry section: " On Queen Elizabeth I's visit to the city of Worcester in August 1575, .......] which probably gave rise to the name "Black Worcester".

If the name was recorded in 1388 itcan't be a result of something that happened in 1575.
