Merge Proposal edit

I believe there is a lot of information here that does not belong in the main article for Full Metal Panic but is notable background information in it's own right. I am personally not for a merger but if one is to be done I think a better idea would be to merge all of the background information for FMP into THIS article, i.e. merge in Arm Slaves etc. etc.

That said, the person who actually proposed the merger hasn't said anything about it and I get the sense that this merger proposal is just a merger for the sake of merging and serves no purpose to actually better wikipedia. --I (talk) 06:35, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Agree - No Merger for the above reason.--Degen Earthfast (talk) 18:01, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
If the consensus is not to merge, I will remove the merge template now from the talk page. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 22:52, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Problems edit

An oscillating laser screen has also proven to expose invisible mode ECS fields as ECS cannot adapt quickly enough to the rapidly changing light conditions produced by this type of screening in order to conceal itself properly.

Entry needs citing. I'm not aware of mention of this in any of the novels or anime adaptations.

This is taken directly from Episode 6 of the English language dub. Kaname says it to Kurtz shortly after she is rescued from the mad scientist woman. It was introduced into the series as an example of the black technology knowledge that is in her head.
It's a near/actual word for word quotation.

That is a misquotation/mistranslation. The Oscilating Laser Screen is what projects the cloaking field, not disrupts it. This is what causes the ozone smell around a high powered (Visible Spectra) ECS, which Kaname says is an incomplete aspect, and thus a weakness.

Adding pictures? edit

Anyone volunteering to add pictures of samples that the BT made, such as an Arm Slave pilot suit or the monomolecular cutters? Ominae 06:46, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
