Dingo was the first member to enter Tokoroa with a Black Power Patch on. He started that charter of the Black Power by enlisting the aid of two of the major players of the day. Initials are C W & T W. T W became the first president. The rest is now a part of history already recorded in the police annals. History now proves that the gang exists but the movement never was. Proof of this shows in the movements lack of militancy. Gang principals are more forwarding and profound than those of a movement. There once was a chance at this but no one has stepped up to show the way into the movement. Which is probably just as well for the police. Had the movement taken shape, the Black Power could very well have become the first mafia type organisation. But it was not meant to be, the players sought nothing beyond the standards of the economic climate of the day. baring in mind that Government financial services for the people was non existent. The Black Power have grown into a moderate gang with links to the criminal under world as we know it. Membership is sliding into a family affair, recruitment is based on iether family or friends or via members seeking a family of sorts. The need for brothers to be brothers. However, a note of tribalism does subconciously play to the fore re' in house political agendas. Hence Black Power have become a Socialist movement without understanding the obligations or reason. Merely to obey the National President in all aspects of his commands. Hence the maori warrior seems to dominate the deepest souls of its members. But at the end of the day, Black Power is just another gang in this countryReply

Black powers saying edit

Hi I think that someone should put the Black Power (new zealand)sayings on their page cause it's their sayings and everyone in new zealand knows it even our police which is why it should be on their page. Their sayings are Yo F**k, Yoza and Yo F**k Yo. could someone please put it on their page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by A.Omojo (talkcontribs) 22:43, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

You need to give a reliable source for this. If everyone knows it, it should be documented somewhere. Places like bebo.com are not considered reliable sources because there is no editorial control over content. Also, Wikipedia is not censored, and I rather doubt that Black Power use asterisks.
One source I found was [1], but it doesn't seem sufficient to indicate that this is a catchphrase used by more than the few people that article is about.-gadfium 02:31, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

The black power gang is a criminal group edit

This article caught my eye with the following statement: "Like other gangs in New Zealand, they offer a surrogate family for alienated young men and are known to be increasingly active in organised crime"

Rubbish. They are a criminal gang where to be admitted crimes must be committed and often jail time served. Like most criminal gangs in NZ, black power manufacture and sell methamphetamine and other drugs.
