Does anyone know how the locomotives and hopper cars got there? Were they trucked in from Flagstaff? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.37.244.76 (talk) 21:24, 26 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I believe so. I was told that in a casual conversation with a Salt River Project employee.-Vorenus (talk) 17:45, 20 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Operations edit

Does anyone know what the future of the new freight cars and the refurbished locomotives are now that the coal plant is slated for closure in 2019?

I wonder if the plant will actually close, given the administration change. It's a fairly new & well-maintained plant. --Pete Tillman (talk) 14:59, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Why did it exist? edit

Why was the power plant not built right at the mine site, such that the railrood would not be needed? Acwilson9 (talk) 20:39, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
