The Black Mass in New Frontier edit

Why, if I may ask, was the edit reversed? It can't be because it wasn't true, because it is.

If it because it doesn't relate to a wiki page, I would point out that "Black Mass, a 2000 novel by Dick Lehr and Gerald O'Neill about Irish mobster Whitey Bulger" doesn't relate to one either - at least in relation to the novel.

If it is because it wasn't cited, then I would point out none of the other links is cited either.

So - why? If there is a reasonable reason, I am interested to hear it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.192.232.123 (talk) 19:09, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

(Would it help if I put a link to Star Trek: New Frontier in? I didn't do it originally cause I kind of assumed people could look it up on wikipedia, but maybe I was over-estimating the average user) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.192.232.123 (talk) 19:12, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

@80.192.232.123: As WP:Dab and WP:MOSDAB document in broad stokes (and then in excruciating detail),
* The Black Mass, a space-going creature that eats anything in its path, featured in Dark Allies from the New Frontier series of novels.
is not acceptable; it was removed (for starters) bcz Dab pages exist, with tiny exceptions, solely to get users who type in an ambiguous title to an existing article on the topic they had in mind, and such entries impeded that goal. Thus the ideal quick remedy is to write a WP article (or a stub pointing the way toward that) on the topic, and mention on that new stub's talk page that you think the accompanying Dab should link to it.
It's not bcz of that entry or its removal that i'm giving attention to the Dab page, so i may not be the editor who eventually tries to ameliorate the legitimate concern you've raised.
