Better sources needed edit
Photos of bird stumps are all over the internet but it is surprisingly difficult to find a single reputable source to back up a precise definition, let alone a history of the term. This page could really use the attention of a ceramics historian with good reference books.Valli Nagy 01:13, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
