--- Related google searching reveals that Biosteel may be a proprietary name used by a german company (http://biosteel-net.de/) which produces medical implements. Perhaps someone who has a better grasp on the german language could shed some light on this?
Also, BioSteel is the name for the manmade spider silk produced by Nexia Biotechnologies (http://www.nexiabiotech.com/en/01_tech/01-bst.php), as noted in the latter portion of the article.
There is also a related article, BioSteel stubbing out for the latter of the two. This whole section needs to be cleaned up, but I'm too much of a newbie to do it myself... a little help anyone? ---
The first paragraph states that 'biosteel' is 'a type of alloy' then goes on to say 'when bacteria mix with the steel and it's contents' then concludes by saying that the steel is coated with 'chemicals': copper, silver and nickel. This does not sound consistent to me. Are we talking an alloy or a coating? How are the 'contents' relavent to the interface or surface of a biomaterial. To include 'Biosteel' as an alloy we need sources as to it's composition as a bare minimum. --Buadach 22:30, 18 October 2006 (UTC) ---
I've merged what little content there was (mainly about transgenic goats) into BioSteel, and made this article a redirect. Any content it had about actual steel for use in medical devices was incoherent and unsourced, and thus valueless. If you really need information about surgical steel, see Surgical stainless steel.
