International goals edit

Sources vary regarding the number of goals scored for Wales.

"Who's Who of Welsh International Soccer Players" gives a total of 12, without further detail as does the RSSSF site. "Rothmans Football Yearbook" has him with 8, but "Guinness Record of Soccer" also goes with 12. The only detailed list of matches played and goals scored is at www.eu-football.info which credits him with 8 goals.

The Wales Football Data Archive shows him as scoring in matches 19, 23, 35, 46 (twice), 50, 51 and 52 (twice); this totals 9 goals, although in the first match, against England on 14 March 1885, most other sources show the goal as scored by Job Wilding (e.g. the Englandstats report).

In the absence of any list showing how the 12 goals figure was arrived at, I have amended the article to show only 8 goals scored. --Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 06:18, 6 January 2010 (UTC) (Updated 22:16, 13 December 2011 (UTC))Reply
