Year of birth edit

Although the first external link claims that "Billy played his last Chesterfield match on September 20th., 1947, at the age of 40 years, 232 days", which would indeed mean that he was born in 1907, I believe this to be a typo, as every other source claims that this event happened on September 20, 1948. The reference I added, for example, the official Chesterfield F.C. history claims that this event happened in 1948. In addition, the original source itself contradicts itself; "A former miner, he was appointed trainer to the 3rd XI upon retirement in 1948". While it is possible that he retired several months after he played the last game (thus in 1948), the official history seems to back 1948 as the date.

I suppose it's possible that by "1948", the official report means "the season that ended in 1948" but that would be a very abnormal interpretation. Perhaps I am wrong though. Cheers, CP 16:51, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
