Editorial removed as source
editEarlier, an IP removed a link to an editorial from the Watertown Daily Times saying that Scozzafava was quietly encouraging her supporters to vote for Owens. It seems inconceivable that a newspaper would say this if it wasn't true, given the implications. If this was a blogger, it would be one thing. But a newspaper--especially coming from one of the major newspapers in this district? Blueboy96 19:43, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Of course, it turns out the Watertown Daily was correct, and Scozzafava wound up making a public announcement of support for Owens.208.83.61.203 (talk) 10:55, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Irresponsible or uninformed tagging
editArticle is not "peacock". Please read WP:Responsible tagging and WP:Peacock for illustrations of what peacock tag entails.208.83.61.203 (talk) 10:52, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- First, I'll remind the editor to mind WP:AGF before making charges of irresponsible anything. Second, Wikipedia requires that you discuss here first before removing tags. To your point, let's see how we feel about the following peacock term (in addition to the uncited pufferation already in the article): "Owens is better-known in the eastern part ..." If you don't like the Peacock label, surely you'll agree to the "fan's point of view" tag given all the glowing quotes about him? QueenofBattle (talk) 14:26, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
So by law, their term may start on the date of the special, but...
editThat doesnt mean that they actually started serving then. Also, note that in another case of delayed serving start date, Al Franken is listed as starting in July. 160.39.37.17 (talk) 12:20, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
