WP:PEACOCK edit

I've made a number of small but I hope crucial edits to the page (removing peacock terms, for one) and I hope it's better -- is it clearer now? thanks. -- Underbelly02 07:28, 18 October 2006 (EST)

We read that His work is concerned with the subject of light as physical phenomena and metaphorical figure, and inhabits the liminal spaces created by the conjunction of performance, installation and object art. What, if anything, does this mean? -- Hoary 01:13, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

His work is concerned with Light as form and figure then, if you will -- light as a metaphor and as subject. The media he utilizes to express Light as Figure (part of a standard discussion in contemporary art) are varied and span the three genres mentioned above: performance art, installation art, object art. All three. It's less bulky to not say "art" 3 x in a row. -- cheers, Underbelly02 07:11, 18 October 2006 (EST)

Chapter title? edit

We read that Jones' 2003 exhibition "Nite Nite", at Sandra Gering Gallery with musician collaborator Ben Neill premiered a new chapter in the development of MIDI-controlled video. What's the title of this new chapter?

Etc etc. -- Hoary 01:16, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

The new chapter in MIDI-controlled video is an experimental one that is performance-based: the VJ and the musician control the video via midi-controlled keyboard (the VJ), as well as the instruments and laptop (the musician). The "chapter", being quite new, has yet to be "named" -- "chapter" is used figuratively here to describe a step in a new direction... For clarification please see the musician's tech information [[1]] or else the Ben Neill wikipedia entry. Thanks for the help. -- Underbelly02 07:18, 18 October 2006 (EST)
