Request for renaming article

edit

There are two articles with the similar titles Bill Doolin and Bill Doolan. in Wikipedia. Doolan refers to an Australian football player. This one, Doolin, refers to the notorious U. S. outlaw of the late 19th Century. To prevent confusion, I propose to rename this article "Bill Doolin (Outlaw)". Both article titles should be added to a Doolan disambiguation page. Hello Wiki editors.

So this article has - as far as I'm concerned - a problem. It states, that the gang (Wild Bunch with Bill Doolin) was with Ol' Yantis when he was hunted down and eventually shot by a sheriff's posse in Orlando. Where is the source for that? I have here a link for a newspaper article covering the pursuit and shooting dead of Mr. Oliver Yantis. http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn84029853/1892-12-02/ed-1/seq-1/ this article mentions nothing about the gang following Yantis to Orlando. As far as I'm concerned, most of the Wild Bunch gang was laying low in Ingalls, Oklahoma, after the robbery. At the time of the Spearville robbery it was not widely known, that The Oklahombres used Ingalls as a refuge. Prior to the Coffeeville debacle, the Dalton Gang (Doolin's first) was plotting and hiding out in Meade, Kansas, where they even had a underground tunnel from which they could escape unseen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TommyBrunOlesen (talkcontribs) 18:17, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
