is this a real person? edit

Should probably be moved to "Bijli Pasi", but my account is not autoconfirmed yet.

Alternately, maybe the entire article should be redirected to Pasi (caste). Pasi (caste) summarizes the issue of fabricated history in Uttar Pradesh, making reference to Bijli Pasi. If you search "Bijli Pasi" and "Bijlee Pasi" on JSTOR and Google Books, the only academic/literary sources are analyses of recent Indian politics. I can't find any evidence actually supporting Bijli Pasi as a historical figure or verifying the given birth and death dates. Maybe Bijli Pasi, man or myth, does deserve his own page as a folk hero of the modern Pasi community, but the element of politically-driven historical fabrication makes me reluctant to contribute. Since there is a stamp created by the indian government, and reputable sources that link to its study, I deem that it is a valid entry. The GASK (talk) 18:12, 13 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Since there are many forts of Maharaja Bijli Pasi in Lucknow and all of them are preserved by Government. Pasi community is worshipping Maharaja Bijli Pasi from 1200 AD not by any political influence. British Gazeteers records also confirms the existence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2409:4050:2E9E:C94A:A0DA:865B:9154:E3EA (talk) 19:01, 23 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi, when i saw this article it was in poor format. It seemed that creator of the article had done a good deal of hard work to write it and find good sources but he was not able to give it a look wt Wikipedia demands. So i edited it and the present version is attributed to me.I think its not whitewashing the history as the sources used are of good quality(Sage publisher).second i had already mentioned him as folk character and the article i wrote describing that the sources not exist and the issue of upward Mobilisation and the particular source from which we get info about him is also mentioned by me.I m feeling fine that u realised it and removed it from delition category. If you want any further change ...u may suggest me.Thanks @Primefac:Heba Aisha (talk) 00:27, 12 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
