The purpose of the entry is not designed to promote a web forum. If needed any links to the web forum and website can be deleted at any time. The term "Big White Taxi Service" is not a "made up" phrase by which I take it to understand that the inference is it has been made up when creating a discussion forum. The term has and is in use to describe the ambulance service as it is percieved both by NHS ambulance employees and the greater NHS as a whole. Many doctors, nurses and auxilliary healthcare staff use the term as a refelection of the misuse of ambulances by the general public and other healthcare professionals. Services like the Police are often, rightly, blamed for the increase in inappropriate use of the ambulance service for conveyance of non emergency patients. The majority of misuse in London of the ambulance service can be attributed to the Metropolitan Police Service, New Scotland Yard have a direct computer link with the ambulance control in Waterloo. Hence the term "Big White Taxi Service". Noted author "Tom Reynolds" whose book; Blood, Sweat & Tears which is based on blog entries made by a serving Emergency Medical Technician, often makes reference to the term "Big White Taxi Service.

There is nothing to warrant the removal of this article. It is purely factual, and now most references have been cited. What's the problem here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Undercovercarrot (talkcontribs) 22:27, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
