Special guest stars/special appearances and simple guest stars

edit

I don't think it is appropriate to mix special guest stars/special appearances with simple guest stars. They are not the same thing. Both Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon were credited as special appearances while Adam Arkin was just credited as guest starring. Special guest stars/special appearances (notable guest stars) should only include those listed in the credits as such, part of the main cast (past or in the present) in another series in the same network, a famous non-actor such as musician or athlete. — YoungForever(talk) 12:55, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely right. If we listed every "Guest" star on the show the list would be like super bloated. If the "Special guest star" section is causing issues I would argue it should be removed. It's not a necessity to have it on the page and it would avoid future issues. But I think that should be a last resort. 81.96.245.175 (talk) 20:27, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia is not Wikia nor IMDb. If editors want to list every guest stars, they should go to Wikia or IMDb instead. — YoungForever(talk) 21:04, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
You seriously blocked me from adding to this page? You don't want to have Adam Arkin listed as "special guest star"? That's fine. So I make it so it's just guest stars because having a special list specifically for two people is incredibly pointless. Every guest star was NOT listed, it was one actor who is notable and should be on the page. As of right now Arkin has been in more episodes than Camryn Manheim, so he should be under "recurring" then. WalkingLost (talk) 14:12, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Camryn Manheim is reliably sourced to confirm as recurring. Adam Arkin is not reliably sourced to confirm as recurring. That is the big difference. — YoungForever(talk) 19:20, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
