Help with further biographical information edit

I've started this page and have gathered a fair few sources, however it would be really useful to gather a bit more biographical information (referenced via published sources) to improve the article. Most importantly, it would be useful to have a date of birth and location. The family was obviously notable if you read her cousin Elsa Schiaparelli's page. Any further background – particularly with regards her work with Schiaparelli in Paris – would also be really helpful. Libby norman (talk) 14:01, 21 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Another amazing article! I knew so little about Bianca Mosca. I actually think I know where to find a photo of her too... Mabalu (talk) 14:04, 21 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I see you have tracked one down - albeit a very small one! But if I can find my copy of Doris Langley Moore's "The Woman in Fashion", Mosca is one of the models along with Mathilda Etches - who I think deserves an article too. Mabalu (talk) 14:08, 21 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks very much for your comments Mabalu – I wasn't sure there was enough until I started digging. I do wonder what would have happened if she hadn't died in 1950 (presumably way too young if she was Schiaparelli's cousin). The picture is really a bit too small, so could be deleted from the article if a better source could be found. Is that possible on Commons or does it make things explode? Curiously, The New Yorker article that mentions Mosca also talks about two other famous names working in Paris with Schiaparelli at the same time – one being Comtesse de la Falaise. I've looked up both Loulou de la Falaise and her mother Maxime de la Falaise and dates just don't add up – was there a granny de la Falaise model for Schiaparelli too? Such an interesting area when you dig! Hadn't heard of Matilda Etches but her designs look stunning. Also on my list is Jaqcmar if I can source enough – also Sekers fabrics seems to be important in its own right and the page on Nicholas Sekers needs a bit of work.Libby norman (talk) 14:26, 21 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
I am a huge admirer of Matilda Etches. I think her work is stunning and so underrated. She had some kind of connection to Charles James when he was in London in the 1930s but it's vague as to what exactly it was - whether they were friends or whether they worked together or both. I also have to say that - WOW - something I always wondered about has been answered in the best possible way. I had always wondered why on earth Paquin London was never part of the Society the way Worth London was, given that they were pretty equal to each other in the couture rankings (and indeed, the Paris houses merged in the end) - and when I discovered Mosca's links to Paquin, which clearly ran concurrently with her time at Jacqmar, SUDDENLY everything made sense.
