Moved from article edit

The park is historically more closely associated with the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale than with the community of Bethpage,[citation needed] which was known as "Central Park" at the time the park opened in 1932.

This needs support. Also, there was already the hamlet of Bethpage (now Old Bethpage) - which contains far more of BSP than the village of Farmingdale does --JimWae 21:30, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Infobox edit

Given the excitement, it is understandable people want to add info on the Black Course - but that is ONE of 5 courses -- and there are other parts to the park too. This article is about the entire park & any infobox should be too. --JimWae (talk) 19:10, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Geography edit

The article doesn't seem to benefit from a nearly 300 word section designed to bolster the notion that Bethpage State Park is more "closely" associated with Farmingdale than Old Bethpage, Bethpage or any other adjacent town. The facts are what they are. The park is in Old Bethpage, not Bethpage (because of the 1936 name change) and has a Farmingdale address and zip code because Old Bethpage didn't have a post office when Yoakum created the estate and Farmingdale's post office was the closest. Ad nauseum and redundant text explaining the proximity of certain park features to adjacent Farmingdale locales doesn't establish much other than proving the point that Bethpage State Park is adjacent to Farmingdale, which was a fact never in question.
