Unreferenced tag edit

This article provides a number of references and citations. Unless someone can explain which statements they don't think are adequately cited, I think I'll remove the tag. --Cheapestcostavoider 22:07, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Map edit

Bethpage is not an incorporated village and thus does not have defined boundaries or any legal standing whatsoever. This does not apply to mailing addresses, etc. This map is stricly how the Census counted the hamlet. Please do not delete it (unless it decides to incorporate). Sports, and to the IP address. edit

I've kept removing the Sports section added in repeatedly. This is not because I am a heartless fiend who hates kids, but because it doesn't qualify for coverage by Wikipedia's policies - see Wikipedia:Notability. Specifically, there are no reliable secondary sources that indicate that Bethpage's Little League is at all relevant. Same with football matches from 2003 that apparently the IP address think need to be described in great detail. Look, something like Valdosta, Georgia which has *actual coverage* from places like ESPN? Fine. But note that the baseball team they talk about there is a minor league team, which is considerably rarer and more notable than Little League teams, which exist literally everywhere. If you look at other articles on towns, basically none of them talk about their Little Leagues. SnowFire (talk) 22:50, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I was the one who reverted the most recent addition of the sports section, so I'd like to note that I concur with this assessment. The information seems pretty clearly non-notable. modargo (talk) 23:11, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
