Daniel deletion edit

I deleted the statement that the song Daniel was "written about a high school classmate who died in Vietnam." Bernie had a classmate who died in a car accident, about which he wrote the song "Cold Highway." He has stated that Daniel was inspired by an American magazine article about a Vietnam vet who was blinded, not killed.Historydude58 (talk) 00:21, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Bull riding edit

Someone might add something about Bernie's recent interest in bull riding. He owns several bulls and has become quite influential in the sport.

Riddles edit

According to the Levon article, Taupin writes complex riddles into his songs. Shouldn't that be mentioned? Tyharvey313

Picture edit

That really is a bad picture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.222.194.54 (talk) 07:19, 17 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Article problems edit

I started trying to fix the glaring issues, but it's too much and I don't really care about Taupin that much. In any case, there are sources used here that are not reliable, there's a lot of unreferenced stuff that needs references, and the tone is inappropriate/promotional in some cases. Personal Information edit

Shouldn't there be some mention of Bernie's personal data such as:

- Where he resides or homes he owns (Country/State/City) - Current and past relationships/marriages -Children

Just a suggestion Clapsis (talk) 22:51, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Disregard. For some reason I missed his personal information topic section. 😀 Clapsis (talk) 22:55, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

No mention of Madman Across the Water alblum—my favorite. edit

No mention of Madman Across the Water alblum and song-my favorites. Damonjon2345 (talk) 00:18, 10 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

There is a separate article List of songs with lyrics by Bernie Taupin, linked from the "See also" section of this article. There are over 400 songs listed there, so we shouldn't list them all in this article as well. CodeTalker (talk) 01:20, 10 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
