Info edit

I'm not great at expressing english nor making good looking subs fitting to the wiki standard, but I will suggest that we get into this, that due to Struensee's removal of censorship in Denmark for a period, made Berlingske Tidende the first uncensored newspaper in the world.

Berlingske TidendeBerlingske

  • The paper changed its name on Jan 26 2011 to just Berlingske. As for the current dab-page, no one really refers to the company as just Berlingske, so it can easily be deleted and I've added a dabheader to the article on the newspaper. -Lilac Soul (TalkContribs) 07:49, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Berlingske is currently a disambig page. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:35, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
    • Yes, with only two links on it, which is just as easily handled by an {{otheruses}} or {{for}} template. The paper will be the target just about anyone will be looking for. -Lilac Soul (TalkContribs) 18:25, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose — arguable consequences are inadequately addressed --Tenmei (talk) 19:30, 27 January 2011
    • You will have to elaborate, please. Which arguable consequences are you thinking of? --Saddhiyama (talk) 23:00, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
My uncertainty was an example of apples and oranges. The hesitant response was informed by wrongly conflating WP:Move and WP:Merge. I wondered about non-specific problems which might develop from merging Berlingske Tidende and Det Berlingske Officin. In other words, I was concerned about consequences of a non-issue.

After pondering the problem for a few hours, my fundamental mistake became plain. --Tenmei (talk) 23:27, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Support. Berlingske is the new official name of the newspaper, so this article should be updated in its title as well. --Saddhiyama (talk) 23:00, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Support -- endorse rationale of Saddhiyama above --Tenmei (talk) 23:27, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Tanten etc. edit

Tanten, Tanten i Pilestræde and Tanten i Pilestraede all redirect here, but this nickname (I assume that's what it is) isn't mentioned anywhere in the article. Can a mention be added so the connection is clearer? "Tanten" in particular seems like it has a lot of meanings unrelated to Berlingske, so the redirect seems especially likely to cause confusion. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 16:59, 12 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

I've now added a mention of Tanten i Pilestræde, which could do with a look from someone who actually speaks the language, and will take Tanten to WP:RFD as it doesn't seem commonly used enough to be a useful redirect. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 19:10, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

"Tanten" listed at Redirects for discussion edit

A discussion is taking place to address the redirect Tanten. The discussion will occur at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2021 April 13#Tanten until a consensus is reached, and readers of this page are welcome to contribute to the discussion. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 19:17, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
