Explorer

edit

Is he really an "explorer"? With a very liberal definition of "explorer" I suppose he is, but all he did was go on a pilgrimage to places that were already very well known. (And he's certainly not a conquistador, nor a "Spanish explorer" in the sense that most people will think of...) Adam Bishop 21:38, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

explorers and travelers typically get lumped together. It was the same at Travel literature and I created a new Outdoor literature to handle the exploration/expedition stuff from the travel stuff, but there is no clear line between the genres they often mix. BoT is also sometimes called a "geographer". -- Stbalbach 23:21, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Half of this article is ripped off right from the Editorial Book Description of Dodo Press printing of "The Itinerary of Benjamin of Tudela" without sighting the source. See: [1]. - AJseagull1 00:38, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Delisting

edit

I'm delisting this as a good article becasue i believe it fails, on WP:WIAGA, parts 2b (lacks of inline cites) and 1a (prose), as I couldn't follow it all that well. Wizardman 04:36, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
