You said: "him for imprisoning journalists in a tweet". Surely, that should read: "him in a tweet for imprisoning journalists"

Suspected war criminal currently at large

edit
Definitely should not be included in the first sentence even if were an actual warrant as opposed to a warrant request. Closhund/talk/ 13:22, 20 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yeah maybe first paragraph. LegalSmeagolian (talk) 20:24, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

How can someone who has lead such a horrific war on the people of Gaza, with his direction to the IDF Army, to kill as many women and children, day in, day out and smile about this on TV, he is the the Jewish Hitler. 09:58, 19 August 2024 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZL3XD (talkcontribs)
My reply was to a user trying to suggest we add a statement to the lead sentence. The current talk page does not reflect what was discussed. Closhund/talk/ 05:04, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
He needs to be widely characterized by reliable sources as a "suspected war criminal currently at large" in order for Wikipedia to use that exact wording. Wikipedia cannot say controversial and potentially defamatory things like that if they are not widely supported by reliable sources, per Wikipedia:BLP. Even if the arrest warrant was issued, this is not something for the first sentence. He would need to be convicted of war crimes and widely characterized as one first for this to be changed. Mellk (talk) 18:47, 21 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, there are plenty of people protesting (and maybe a number of commentators?) who call him as a war criminal, but there is WP:NPOV. It would not be correct to say that most reliable sources, and given that this is WP:BLP would need to include very high-quality sources, outright call him a war criminal. This is probably in part due to him not being convicted of war crimes by a court. Of course, there are people as you mentioned who would like to see him face court but this is different and more of a matter of opinion rather than a statement of fact. There is an error in redaction at the beginning of second lead paragraph. Second sentence in paragraph should read (changes in bold):

He returned to Israel in 1967 to join the Israel Defense Forces and served in the Sayeret Matkal special forces as a captain before being honorably discharged.

Could somebody please change it? Thanks--2800:2503:4:DEA7:1:0:C9BA:5F63 (talk) 23:39, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

His real name is Mileikowsky ?

edit

When i do Google search his name was coming as Mileikowsky (Polish Name) Ricky.martin2786 (talk) 20:24, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

His father's name was Mileikowski: he changed it. It's not Netanyahu's "real name." It's covered in the article. Acroterion (talk) 21:04, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Charliehdb (talk) 14:41, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

The ICC issued a warrant for Netanyahu for war crimes including genocide and not only the ICC prosecutor has applied for such a warrant as the article wrongfully states. Netanyahu is a war criminal and should be recognised as. Stop trying to whitewash his crime on Wikipedia. Thank you! 2A02:2F09:101:CB00:A14B:8133:DF3:2A8C (talk) 19:28, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Edit request - Relations with foreign leaders

Can someone help me with the following:

  1. Citation for the claim that Netanyahu has ties with Mitt Romney is in this NY Times article. Please help add this.
  2. Citation for the claim that the US abstained on the UNSC resolution asking for an end to Israeli settlements is in this Times of Israel article. Also, the context that this was under the Obama administration should be added up-front instead of towards the end of the paragraph.
  3. Please add a paragraph on Netanyahu's relationship with Argentinian PMs. I see that Netanyahu has a good relationship with Millei and a polite relationship with Alberto Fernández
  4. Please add a paragraph on Netanyahu's cordial relationship with Xi Jinping (This might have changed due to Xi Jinping's diplomacy in Gaza/West Bank, so please use the latest source)

Never mind, I'm able to edit this article now. I have added these, except for the relationship with Alberto Fernández, which on further reading seems to be more nuanced and transactional. CoolAndUniqueUsername (talk) 14:44, 31 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
