Talk:Benjamin Breeg

There are bots set to editing this page back to the original entry. That, or Maiden fans who think they're being funny.

editors ip is german so probably its not official action of the band

Hmmm, not bad. This guy is certanly interesting. But is this true? do B.B. really existed? I've never heard if him, and i'm kinda into this things (paranormal and all :)). Let's hope that the guys from Iron Maiden can shed some light on this interesting mystery.

None of this is true. This is just another work of fiction completely MADE UP after the band started hyping the song. Prior to that, there was no mention of Breeg anywhere. In other words, Maiden wrote the song, then some guy made up a backstory for it. This write up is almost certainly in the wrong category, as there IS NO BENJAMIN BREEG. There's no "mystery" to it, he is a work of FICTION. He is no more real than Jack Bauer, Vic Mackey, Captain Picard, Cosmo Kramer, Luke Skywalker, Forrest Gump, or James Bond.

DUDE JAMES BOND IS REAL! I KNOW THIS BECAUSE, WELL.... I AM HE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the bonus DVD of the limited edition of A Matter Of Life And Death Benjamin Breeg is also mentioned and it appears he is just a character made up by Steve Harris. BTW, on benjaminbreeg.co.uk there is a painting suppposedly made by Banjamin Breeg that has a strong resemblance of Maiden's mascotte Eddie The Head.

so who the heck is benjamin breeg?

I want answers

It should be noted that the text of this article is directly copied (though apparently formatted) from [www.benjaminbreeg.co.uk]. I'm not certain, but I think the page is some kind of viral marketing page created by Sanctuary to increase hype for the single. 68.65.239.54

Wait, I take that back. It wasn't formatted, just lifted directly from said website. 68.65.239.54

I've removed the falsehoods, leaving what's basically a stub. Flag for deletion? It's a lame attempt to create a meme.

The result of this AfD discussion was no consensus, so keep for now.  (aeropagitica)   (talk)  13:21, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Even if it is fiction, that still doesnt mean its trivial, or not a mystery, o uninteresting. Maybe sometime in the future the band will shed more light into this. If Breeg is indeed Eddie, I think a full fledged concept album is in order!! -- Mailrobot

Even if it is fiction, that still doesnt mean its trivial, or not a mystery, o uninteresting. Maybe sometime in the future the band will shed more light into this. If Breeg is indeed Eddie, I think a full fledged concept album is in order!! Of course, if this backstory is just made up by some guy with no connection to the band...because the song itself doesnt say anything about Breeg's birth or anything. -- Mailrobot

It's just a marketing ploy. And a succesful one as seen here. — Prodigenous Zee - 01:49, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well that is dissapointing. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by E tac (talkcontribs) .

I dont care if its a marketing ploy. I just dont want it to be some guy with no connection to the band. –Mailrobot 20:53, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
