Text removal and works list

Dear Mr Graham87. I think it is unnecessary to delete information that is true. Which Wikipedia rule did you use? If you don't like the way the section is written, than you could change it yourself, but deleting an important detail is very strange. There is a lot of information on Benedetto on the German Wikipedia. The article on the English Wikipedia is short and bad, although a lot of people worked on it. I could not change all on New Years Eve. Please, don't delete it again. I don't know anything about your knowledge of German, but they usually have the best information on Baroque composers. I can't remember if I had ever heard something of Benedetto, but this oratorio is very interesting. It should be mentioned. Taksen (talk) 11:39, 1 January 2014 (UTC)

I reverted the edit because I thought that listing *every* *single* work by Marcello like the way you did would be unproductive. I didn't think that particular oratorio should receive special attention just because it was recently played by a radio station. I'm probably a bit more fussy about edits like that than many people.

Thanks for starting up the works list; I've had a go at translating what you've done so far (with the help of Wiktionary et al becauseI don't know any German). However I did remove the link to the Austrian radio station, because I don't think that kind of thing is necessary in a list of works by a composer. I don't know much about Marcello, and his article is only on my watchlist because of this vandalism fix. I am a big fan of classical music though. Dear Graham87, the article doubled in size today, thanks to Ö1, the Austrian Radio, which broadcasted the oratorio Il pianto e il riso delle quattro stagioni dell'anno by the Venice Monteverdi Academy by Roberto Zarpellon performed in Asolo on 26th of December.[1] I still don't like your decision. It is a reliable radio station, Austria has a very long tradition on classical music, and it is not often one can listen to Benedetto Marcello or go to a concert, right? The concert was free (!) and program can be listened to till tomorrow, at no charge.[2]. At last, Bukofzer doesn't make a difference between the two brothers or did not know it was the case.
