changed "re-emergence of this community" to "emergence of this community". I have no doubt of their sincerity or desire to be Jewish, and to be recognized as such, nor do I doubt that they devoted to Judaism in practice and affiliation. However, from what I understand of them, there is no evidence of their having had Jewish antecedents. Therefore, they should be actegorized as a group of Telugu-speaking Indians who are seeking to become Jewish.ShmorgelBorgel 16:35, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Tomertalk 10:36, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
In retrospect, I should change my "agreed" to "I agree, inasmuch as they seek recognition as Jews", to clarify that I take no position on the il/legitimacy of their historical claims. I have insufficient data to support or disregard their claims, only insufficient data to validate them. Tomertalk 09:56, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
