was. I understand your thought but the tense is describing the subject itself, not modifying the following occupation. This is just WP policy/practice. Writing off Barba is way too premature and just WP:CRYSTAL. He is only banned from the NRL and the British Super League. There is currently nothing stopping him from playing rugby league in France, a Pacific Islands nation, or even club football in New Zealand. Then there are all the rugby union options. Adding stats for players that never play

User:Fleets has just added the stats for 2019 to the infobox even though he hasn't played a game. Is this really needed? RhinosF1^(chat)_{(status)(contribs)} 19:55, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

Yes he definitely spent time at the club. The fact that he never took to the field is immaterial as seen with Fraser Forster.Fleets (talk) 21:00, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
