Notability
edit@Atlantic306: Two separate people, myself and User:Splinemath, have raised notability concerns about this page, and you've reverted us both with little explanation. It is true that police departments are often notable, but many departments of small cities and towns are not. If you search the archives of WP:AfD, you'll see several police departments merged or deleted for non-notabiliy: e.g. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lexington Police Department, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bismarck Police Department (North Dakota), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fontana Police Department (California).
I have restored the notability cleanup tag. I'm not threatening this article with immediate deletion, it's just an accurate assessment of the state of the article: the article doesn't appear to satisfy Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Apocheir (talk) 21:41, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- Any editor can remove a proposed deletion notice as I did. Also I see you have been mass-adding notability tags to police stations articles including reverting a number of editors, in drive by tagging. This is essentially creating work for other editors. In my view you would be better concentrating on one article at a time, assessing whether it is notable or not and if not then proposing a merge to the town or city article, imv Atlantic306 (talk) 22:40, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
