Bellaire Class of 2006 College Admissions

edit

Here is the latest college admissions information (those who got accepted into the top 20 world universities based on The Times Higher Education Supplement and/or the top 10 America's Best Colleges based on the U.S. News and World Report--from the 2006 rankings) obtained from a college survey from Bellaire High School senior Class of 2006:

9 were admitted to Berkeley, 1 was admitted to Caltech, 2 were admitted to Columbia, 14 were admitted to Cornell, 2 were admitted to Dartmouth, 11 were admitted to Duke, 1 was admitted to Harvard, 1 was admitted to MIT, 1 was admitted to Oxford, 5 were admitted to Princeton, 6 were admitted to Stanford, 6 were admitted to U Chicago, 7 were admitted to U Penn, and 2 were admitted to Yale.

The total scholarship (including financial aid packages) received by these students from these universities was around $1,274,000 US Dollar. ...above information was provided by 510077401, a PTO member of Bellaire High School

Pin Oak MS

edit

Should Pin Oak really be listed the way it is in the feeder schools list? It's more of a unique way schools feed into it, not how it feeds into Bellaire. The way I see it the way it gains students should be explained on its page and on Bellaire's page it should just be a partial feeder school like the others. Just my 3 pennies... I know it's years later... but because Pin Oak does have a geographic confinement, and so it should be counted as a feeder school. WhisperToMe (talk) 21:21, 31 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

It's like Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools wasn't even consulted here for any kind of consistent format. The article is a mess, has numerous WP:MOS issues...hardly a GA. -- PhoenixTwo 22:15, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

First Hindi language school?

edit

I'm working on an article about the second public district in the nation to offer Hindi language courses, and I believe this school may be the first. If anyone wants something to do, it may be worth researching a little and adding that note to this article. --216.62.101.13 14:16, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I doubt it was the first in the United States, but it was very likely the first to offer Hindi in Texas 72.192.203.13 (talk) 04:14, 17 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello John_from_Idegon, I'm not sure why you reversed my edits. It was just an issue of phrasing and clarity. The version you reversed it to says exactly the same thing, just more unwieldy and opaque to regular readers. Second, not sure why you mentioned NPOV because I didn't change any wording. Thank you! I will be reversing your changes. Looking forward to your response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dosafrog (talkcontribs) 23:50, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello again John_from_Idegon, I have reversed your repeated vandalism to this page. If you would like to seek any clarification regarding my concerns, please kindly respond to this page. Also, I have added citations to the statements in the lede, even though I find it unnecessary and exhausting; the original article prior to my edits did not have such citations. Looking forward to your response. Dosafrog (talk) 01:23, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
