visa-free granted for those who are diplomatic passport (officals) holders or in tourist group should not be counted. But if you want to put in this way, why didn't you put them as 2 different categories? and also citation is need! 24.176.138.81 02:10, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Reordered those into 2 groups. As for tours to China, I think they should be considered as semi visa-free. Added a link to a government page with comments on visa regime. Murmillo 21:39, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Turkey is also semi-visa free for Belarusian citizens. We visited in May 2007. At the airport you pay $20 and a sticker is placed in the passport allowing a 2 month stay. While this is technically a visa, there are no requirements. No application, no photo, no wait. It took us literally 10 seconds to receive the visa sticker and be on our way. It would be helpful to list other countries where Belarusian citizens receive semi visa free.
Visa-free travel section
editI propose moving this section to a new article, perhaps Visa free travel for Belarusian citizens. The question of the physical passport is entirely incidental to this issue. The concession is to citizens. A passport is nothing more than evidence of citizenship and a guarantee by states to accept the return of rejected would-be entrants. It is true that many other articles have this section, but not all. Attempts to have it included on the Irish passport article, for example, were hotly contested and ultimately rejected for, amongst others, the reasons I've given. This section is in fact a distraction from the focus of the article which should be the document itself, and not visa policies of countries vis a vis Belarusian citizens. Does anybody know what transliteration system is used for personal names in English, and is it transliterated from Belarussian or Russian. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.164.157.159 (talk) 10:33, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
